I reading Melissa's blog today and she said something that really hit me:
"... I think for a blog to be successful, you need to need it"
She goes on talking about the secret of writing a successful blog and leaves us with the question:
do you need your space?
I know I have not posted as often as I once did or as often as I want... but one thing I know for sure : I need this space.
I need a space where I am able to express myself with no censorship or judgement
I need the support and friendship of the wonderful women that I've met here
I need this space to share all the love that I have for my beautiful girl
I need this wonderful privilege of having a written voice
I need your comments
I need this place to keep a record of my journey....
I am so very thankful to have created this blog almost 5 years ago after I had to look back on my archives). 5 years really? OMG. So much has happened during this time. More than I could have ever imagined back in 2006. What a wild ride it has been...
I still need this place just as much as I needed then.
Thanks for letting me have a voice, for make me feel part of such an wonderful community. Thank for caring, for cheering me up, for all the comments, for allowing me to call you friend!
I am so proud of my space.
I am honored to be able to read what you have to say!
I am so thankful for all the bloggers who share their hearts on the daily basis and let us "see" what many in their really lives will never know.
Tell me :
do you need your space?

When it rains.. .
The past few days have been crazy... I got the flu, H1N1. I felt so bad, so sick. The ex took Lyla and I stayed home with my 103 fever, chills and body aches to keep me company. I was glad that I did not have to care for Lyla but boy I needed so much some care. Once again my friends stepped up and came to my rescue, with meals, taking me to the doc visits and so on. I am feeling much better. But now I am dealing with the aftermath: asthma. Lyla stayed away for as long as we could manage, but she is sick too (hopefully not the flu). Work week starts tom and I am in no shape to work and Lyla is going downhill... I just want to disappear and take a break with Lyla somewhere warm and disease free.
