I can't hardly believe that I've only known you for 2 years. It seems like a lifetime. It some ways it is, I was reborn the day you were born. 2 years ago my dear I was forever changed by you and for that I am so grateful. I waited for so long to be a mother, I cried many tears waiting for you, but the wait was worth it because I was meant to be your mother. The mother of a sweet baby girl born March 30th 2008, 2:53 pm in Overland Park Kansas... and to be YOU, it could not have been any sooner or any later.
I look at you now so busy, so happy, talking, playing, running, dancing, cooking...
and I wonder where did the time go. Wasn't it just yesterday when I brought home?
You are a toddler now, a big girl, a baby no more.. so independent,adventurous, opinionated, active, animated, sweet as sweet can be
but sour at times.
I love your personality Lyla, I love that we can talk, I love that you love me back and you see nothing but good in me.
I love that you let me dress you up, do your hair at any way that I want.
I love that seek me for confort and I can make "all better" with a simple kiss.
I love all your facial expressions and I take as many pictures as I can so I can freeze those in time and look back at them some day.
I love celebrating all the Holidays with you, and we have so much fun together!!!
I love how much you appreciate music just like your father. Seeing you air drumming, playing the harmonica, enjoying kindermusik class, or pretending to be playing the big piano it is just priceless. You are a daddy's girl! MY DADDY! you say that very often.
