My little Lyla is so grown up... OMG, I can't believe how fast everything is going, I want to slow it down... I am afraid that this is it for me and I am so busy with life and not enjoying enough every stage. She is potty trained now (with accidents here and there off coarse , especially when it comes to number 2). She wears a pull up to sleep and nap, and if I go somewhere for too long that I am not sure about the restrooms. She loves wearing panties ans she knows where she get them and she must choose the one she will wear everyday. She no longer uses her pacifier. She loved that thing and to be honest I miss it too.I put it off for as long as I could , I though ti would be very hard, but it very simple. I told her that her baby cousin in Brazil needed a paci if she wanted to give hers up for him. I repeated over and over and one day she bought into the idea. We packed the up and "sent" to Brazil. She still asks here and there and I remind what we did and she says OH, now I remember ! lol She is a very happy child, plays well independently, listen when i am talking to her (most of the time). She is a talker like me, she sound so grown up these days. We have long and funny conversations. She tells me that I am funny and pretty. She loves everything girly. Loves to pretend she is putting make up on when I am getting ready. Walks around with my high hills and purses. I gave her a chap stick and she tells everybody: look at me, i look "pletty" with my lipstick on!!!! She is not shy, talks with everybody , everywhere. She has a fantastic memory, has memorized most of her favorite books. I tell her one thing and I don't even know if she paying any attention and the next day she repeats it (got be careful). She is in love with dinosaurs and robots. She loves Toy story . The other day I rented the movie and we watched together in a cold raining Sunday afternoon. Priceless!!!!! She is a leader, i see her at the daycare and she is always leading some kind of pretend play and the kids follow her. She adores music and sings all the time, she makes up lyrics and it just hilarious. Loves coloring, cooking with me, dancing, taking care of her babies... She is my shopping partner and when I ask her what she things about an item i want to buy she says: I think it is "pletty" mommy, Lyla like it. We are always on the go and she does wonderfully on restaurants and other public places (with a time limitation of coarse). Her hair is pretty long but she lets me fix it any way I want, she sits there watching tv or reading a book and I go crazy with hair bands and bows . She is not a good sleeper, she has never been and I've made peace with it. Next I will turn her cribinto a big girl bad and redo our bedroom. Slowly but surely, All things baby are disappearing from my house . my heart aches sometimes wondering if she will ever be a big sister. With the many announcements of baby number 2 lately these feeling have surfaced again. She would be a big sister, I am sure of it... she is a wonderful daughter and I love her to pieces, oh how I love her! and she loves me back, she tells me so, everyday!!!!!!!! my big girl, my Lyla

Definitely a big girl now. It really brings it home how much they've grown when you start putting away the baby stuff.
I'm sure Lyla will find someone to "big sister" one way or another - she sounds like she's developing into the type. I hope it works out well for you, too.

Such a beautiful, beautiful girl. You guys are so lucky to have each other!
Good for you and for Lyla on the potty training! :-)
Lyla sounds like such a wonderful child. You are doing such a great job, momma!
You are doing everything right! Keep telling yourself that! You are amazing and an inspiration to us all! xo
My goodness she gets more and more gorgeous! She and Mason seem so much alike. He is kind of a leader as well and is quite the popular kid amongst his peers. It is so amazing how these dreams became babies and are now becoming little kids. There really are little people where our babies once stood!
