"Time, time wont leave me as I am".

And for that I am gratful. Time has changed me, changed me for forever. Time healed my broken heart and gave me a new grown up one that is ready to take risks even if it means that it might be broken again. With time my tears dried up, my fears subsided, my hope renewed and at the end of the day I am okay again. Not great, but okay again. Of course I rather feel great, but okay is better than broken and hurt . So today I celebrate being okay, good even. One year ago there was a death, a death of a beautiful love I once felt. That beautiful love that once built me up became a prison. I did not know how not to love, how to forget, there was no option but to hope for a renew, for a happy ending, to fight even if it meant I was a one woman army! . Amazing thing the power of the truth. The truth sat me free!!!! It took a few words of confession coming out of his mouth and the death began from within me. I have no words to describe how I felt. It is like that Seal's song: "then the rainstorm came over me, and I felt my spirit break" . It broke in a million tinny pieces. I was broken, but free. Free not to love anymore, free of the guessing, the wondering, free from the waiting and the hoping, free to start to heal!!!

I realized that is better to be broken than to live fearing the fall. Caught midair trying to stay standing.

"Through the rainstorm came sanctuary
And I felt my spirit fly..."

And healing came, came with time. I stared at the pieces at the floor and had no idea how to put them together. They no longer fit the way they once were, it had to be something new. And the process begun and I did not do it alone. I could not have done it alone. In this past year I was held together by the glue of friendship, love and faith. I am humbled by the devotion of my friends. My family was there for me, but from far away. My friends got their hands dirty and started remolding the clay with me. The broken pieces melted together, some had to be left behind, news ones were added on, some are still missing... the result my friends is a new kind of beauty and happiness. I am grateful to be this broken vase put together in a strange but unique way.

I remembering waking up one year ago and I could hardly breath and today I woke up to an ordinary day, with many things to do, many places to go. Just ordinary, maybe one day extraordinary ... who knows! All I know is that I am not free falling. I hit the ground and by God's grace I came back up. And the process continues: falling, picking my self up, breaking and rebuilding, crying and laughing...

I've been waiting for my dreams
To turn into something
I could believe in
And looking for that
Magic rainbow
On the horizon
I couldn't see it
Until I let go
Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn
Now I'm coming alive
Body and soul
And feelin' my world start to turn
And I'll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time
To be more than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life

Holding onto things that vanished
Into the air
Left me in pieces
But now I'm rising from the ashes
Finding my wings
And all that I needed
Was there all along
Within my reach
As close as the beat of my heart

So I'll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time to be
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life

And I'm out on the edge of forever
Ready to run
I'm keeping my feet on the ground
My arms open wide
My face to the sun

I'll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time to be
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
This is the time
This is the time of my life.
This is the time of my life.
