Easter Sunday, and one more time the "Easter Bunny" did not show up for us... he has no reason to come since there is no kids to find the eggs that is suppose to hide, and from my empty house I hear the excitement going on all around me... but I don't belong to the club. "She invited only people with kids" said my mother in law... talking about an Easter party the most of the Brazilians are going to attend today. I did not even want to go, but it hurts to be reminded that I am still not a mother.
Since I live so far way from my family (they are in Brazil) I feel even more sad today. It hurts, especially when AF decides to show up early in the morning and spoil any hope I could have for better days any time soon. Anyway, tomorrow is a big day for me; finally it's time for my final oral defense. I am ready and excited! I'll concentrate on that today and on the true meaning of Easter: time of renewed hope, of rebirth.
Happy Easter to you all

Holidays are always hard as an infertile. Especially when the rest of your family is so far away.
Cibele: thanks for your comment on my blog.
I am sorry you are sad today. It must be very hard being so far from your family. I remember too well how many celebrations I missed as a non member of the mom club and it is awful. I hope spring brings you more happiness. I know I always seem to feel better when the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. (Although here in Ohio it is SNOWING today.)
Stupid AF!
Holidays really are hardest when festivities are so child-focused.
Very exciting that today is your defense. Good luck! And so sorry about AF, that sucks.
Break a leg! And kick ass on your defense!
