lYLA HAD 104.5 TEMP LAST NIGHT... POOR GIRL, SHE WAS BURNING. THE FIRST ANTIBIOTIC DOSE IS IN AND SHE HASN'T HAD A HOGH TEMP SINCE 2 AM. I LEARNED THAT TYLYNOL DOES NOT WORK FOR HER, MOTRIN DOES WONDERS... NOW I AM SICK TOO
i hope you're both feeling better soon. do you know the tylenol/motrin trick? apparently the best way to bring down a fever is to alternate; it works for piper. you should check with your own doctor, but here's info:
"Many of us have recommended a combination of Tylenol and Motrin, in alternating doses, on the theory that the two medicines in combination would reduce a patient's temperature faster and for a longer time than either one alone. This had not been proven in studies until recently; a study published in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (vol. 160, pages 197-202) in February, 2006 shows that alternating Tylenol and Motrin does keep temperature down better in infants and small children than does either Tylenol or Motrin by itself. As always, ask your doctor whether the two-medicine treatment is right for your child, and how much of each medicine to give."

My goodness. You can't seem to catch a break. I hope you both get to feeling better soon.
