I am sorry about another down post

I am so overwhelmed with this pregnancy , it seems like I never get a break. I am constantly worrying (which I know is a common thing among all of us expecting). Since Dec 22nd I’ve been having lots of pain on my pelivic area, pressure and discomfort. I went to see the nurse on the 24th, they sent my urine to the lab and on the 26th (late afternoon) I got a call (after calling million times) that I indeed had an UTI. On the 24th I bagged the nurse to check my cervix, and after bitching for a minute the midwife came and just felt me and said that everything was closed but never checked for any vaginal infection. That left me with some spotting and mucus discharge that freaked me out. I Called the emergency hot line many times and the doc on call was never my doc . I started on antibiotics and after 7 days the symptoms are still here and worse the baby is not as active as she ahs been in the past 2 weeks. I called the office again, after many phone calls they agree to see me to check my urine again yesterday. UTI is gone (just still sugar in my urine that might indicate that I indeed have gestational diabetes) , but sure enough I have a vaginal infection that may be the source of spotting… more antibiotics. Apparently I am also dehydrated, I’ve been avoiding drinking too much water because I can barely function at work as it is, and if I drink too munch water I’ll have to transfer my desk to the bathroom. The midwife heard the baby yesterday and the heart sounded just great. But why is she not moving much? Is she just having a lazy week? I stay still for minutes almost holding my breath to try to feel her move but the kicks don’t feel as strong as before. Is it normal? Can it be because of all the medication I’ve been on lately? Anybody???! I feel that I have done all that I could to make sure that she is okay, now is up to her and God… I feel so helpless! With all this drama, my doc is not even aware of what is going on…
Next Monday I’ll have the level 2 sono to check for the CPC and any other markers for chromosomal abnormalities. I guess that I know how’s things really are that day. I am so scared… meanwhile, I’ll try to act normal, still have lots of work to do, next weekend it will be my 7th anniversary and nephew’s 7th birthday (he was born the same day we got married). Monday (the day of the sono) it is DH’s birthday, I hope I can give him the best gift ever , but to be honest I am afraid to ruin his day forever. I wish I could fall into a deep sleep and wake up only on Monday! I am reaching my limit…

I'm so sorry that you aren't able to enjoy this magical time. One thing I have learned from TTC is..nothing is ever as you expected.
Get some rest and think happy baby thoughts. Your baby girl probably just needs some beauty sleep for all the growing she's been doing. Talk to your midwife about your worries- What does she think of less movement at this stage?
*hugs* my thoughts are with you and I hope to hear good news soon.

Breathe, hon. Breathe!

*HUG*

I have days with very little movement too. Usually it's because the baby is sleeping through a growth spurt... a couple of days later I feel renewed movement.

Also, I've read in my pregnancy books that the baby grows, too, there isn't as much room for movement. That might be part of it.

I know it's REALLY hard to believe it, but you have no indication so far that this ISN'T a healthy pregnancy. So far your baby girl is growing right on track.

Hang in there, hon. Keep telling yourself that you have no indication that this won't work out. It's what I do every day. And so far, it's pretty good at keeping the anxiety at bay.

*HUG*

From what i've read, it is normal for the movement to vary sometimes. You might also not notice some of it if you are moving around yourself. I know it is so hard not to worry, but really try to take some deep breaths and think about how wonderful it will be when your little girl is in your arms. You are doing so well. Keep drinking water and know that we are all behind you 100%!

I am so sorry you are going through this, but I am glad you pushed. If you ever feel you need more care push push push....it doesn't matter what they say you are entitled. I hope Monday brings you much deserver peace.

Your threshold is much higher than you think...someone tests us pregnant women with worry, panic, anxiety, weird pains, thoughts, discharge, etc. You may feel like you want to collapse when you are actually standing firmer than you were before. You are sharp and on top of things. That alone is wonderful!!!!! Trust yoru gut- something is not right so demand that it be checked out. Your sanity and your baby's well being is well worth the 'pushy' phone call to the help line or doctors office. Youre a mom. You have every right to feel the way you do. I wish I could take all the yucky feelings away for you because I know how they wear you down and beat at you, but you are stronger than you think. And venting is a healthy outlet so keep letting it out!
Hope all looks up for you soon :) Your level II will go perfect and you will see your lil swimmer wiggling and going nuts in there!
((((hugs))))

drink your water sweetie, it's one of the best things you can do for your baby. dehydration is the number one cause of preterm labor, and i wonder if it would also be a reason you might feel less movement. definitely though there were times when i felt less, i think it's very normal.

I'm with Sarah, drink more water.

Also, two pieces of assvice from someone who has never been pregnant:

1- I've heard it said that motion puts the babies to sleep so while you are up moving around, she might be sleeping sound and not move much. Just being still for a few moments may not wake her.

2- I've also heard it said that something sugary (which probably isn't a good idea if you even think you might have gestational diabetes) like orange juice or mountain dew can sometimes perk up a baby that isn't moving much

Like I said - assvice. I'm no doctor.

I'm thinking good thoughts for you.

Oh, minha querida amiga...
Estou orando pori ti.
Um beijo

PS...thanks for the continual clomid experience comments! They are really helpful to me, seeing that you are a clomid success story. :)

Thinking of you and hoping everything is fine. I agree with a lot of comments---movement is variable and you have no indications anything is wrong. Just hang in there!

And drink that water...I know it sucks going to the bathroom all the time--but you are PREGNANT--people will understand!

I'm so sorry about all the stress you're under. I hope Monday gets here soon and you begin to feel better.

I did get your gift--thank you so much! I sent you a card that will probably arrive today.
